About Sucrose Stearate

Sucrose Stearate is the monoester of stearic acid and sucrose.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and leave the skin's surface soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
