About Sucrose Polypalmate
Sucrose Polypalmate is a mixture of esters of sucrose and acids obtained from hydrogenated palm oil.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction and add a smooth feel to the skin or hair, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and help prevent the emulsion from separating.[2] It is also used to leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
