About Sucrose Polylaurate
Sucrose Polylaurate is a mixture of sucrose esters of lauric acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and leave the skin's surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to reduce surface tension so that ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
