About Strontium Peroxide
Strontium Peroxide is an inorganic oxide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to lighten color in the hair or skin and to cause reactions that oxidize other ingredients.[3] In Europe, it may be used in hair products, provided that the amount present or released as hydrogen peroxide in the finished product does not exceed 12% (40 volumes).[2] It may also be used at up to 4.5% in rinse-off hair products among finished cosmetic products.[2]
