About Stearylvinyl Ether/Ma Copolymer
Stearylvinyl Ether/Ma Copolymer is a polymer of stearyl vinyl ether and maleic anhydride.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, help prevent emulsified water-and-oil mixtures from separating, and form a thin film on the surface of the skin, hair, or nails after application.[2] It is also used to control the viscosity and flow of formulas.[2]
