About Stearyl Pg-Trimonium Chloride
Stearyl Pg-Trimonium Chloride is a quaternary ammonium salt with the following structure.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and reduce tangling and roughness to leave hair smooth and well-groomed.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
