About Stearyl Linoleate
Stearyl Linoleate is an ester of stearyl alcohol and linoleic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, reduce light transmission so the contents appear less visible, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to adjust a formulation’s viscosity and flow properties.[2]
