About Stearoyl Sarcosine

Stearoyl Sarcosine is an N-stearoyl derivative of N-methylglycine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, help sebum and impurities wash away with water, and reduce tangling and rough feel to leave hair smooth and manageable.[2] It is also used to reduce surface tension so that raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
