About Stearoyl Leucine
Stearoyl Leucine is a stearoyl derivative of leucine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, to reduce tangling and roughness in hair for a smoother, more manageable feel, and to leave the skin's surface soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so that ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
