About Stearoamphoacetic Acid
Stearoamphoacetic Acid is a compound containing an acidic group.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling to one another, to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to reduce tangling and roughness so the hair feels smoother and more manageable.[1] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials can be wetted, mixed, and spread evenly.[1]
