About Stearamide Mea-Stearate

Stearamide Mea-Stearate is a substituted ethanolamide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, increase the amount of foam and help it resist collapsing, and reduce light transmission so the contents appear less translucent.[2] It is also used to adjust the viscosity and flow of the formulation.[2]
