About Stearamide DEA-Distearate
Stearamide DEA-Distearate is a substituted ethanolamide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to increase the amount of foam and help prevent it from collapsing quickly, reduce light transmission so the contents appear less transparent, and adjust formula viscosity and flow.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of the finished product is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and the nitrosamine content must not exceed 50 μg/kg.[2]
