About Sr-Rice Polypeptide-1

Sr-Rice Polypeptide-1 is a single-chain recombinant protein obtained by fermenting Escherichia coli.[1] The number 1 at the end of the name is only an identification number distinguishing different peptides; it does not indicate the amount used or rank of efficacy. In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms, slow the oxidation of formula ingredients through reactions with oxygen, and reduce tangling and roughness in hair for a softer finish.[2] It is also used to attract moisture to the formulation and skin surface to help maintain a moisturized feel, leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth, and protect the skin from external factors.[2]
