About Soyamide DEA

Soyamide DEA is a mixture of ethanolamides of soy acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, help prevent the emulsified water-and-oil state from separating easily, and increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable.[3] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to adjust the formula’s viscosity and flow. In Europe, the secondary amine content of finished products is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and nitrosamine content must not exceed 50 μg/kg.[2] [3]
