About Sorbeth-8 Beeswax
Sorbeth-8 Beeswax is an ethoxylated sorbitan derivative of beeswax with an average of 8 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] Because it is primarily composed of fatty components derived from beeswax, it mixes more readily with oils than with water and is suitable for adding slip and a flexible feel to the skin or hair while reducing the feeling of moisture evaporating quickly. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
