About Sorbeth-30
Sorbeth-30 is a polyethylene glycol ether of sorbitol with an average of 30 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended, to attract moisture to the formula and skin surface and help maintain hydration, and to dissolve other ingredients to create a uniform formula.[2] It is also used to adjust a formula’s viscosity and flow properties.[2]
