About Sodium Tallate
Sodium Tallate is the sodium salt of tall oil fatty acids.[1] Its solubility and charge state vary depending on the salt-forming components and the formulation’s acidity, which also affects how it interacts with other raw materials. In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
