About Sodium Stearoyl Oat Protein

Sodium Stearoyl Oat Protein is the sodium salt of the condensation product of stearic acid chloride and oat kernel protein.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for a smoother finish, and leave the skin’s surface soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
