About Sodium Stearoyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein
Sodium Stearoyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein is the sodium salt of the condensation product of stearic acid chloride and hydrolyzed wheat protein.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, to reduce tangling and roughness in hair for a smoother finish, and to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
