About Sodium Stearoamphoacetate
Sodium Stearoamphoacetate is an amphoteric organic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, help sebum and impurities wash away with water, and increase the amount and stability of foam.[2] It is also used to form foam during use, reduce tangling and rough feel for smoother hair, and lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
