About Sodium Polyacrylate Starch

Sodium Polyacrylate Starch is starch bonded with a sodium acrylate polymer.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to absorb liquids such as water or oil in formulations, help the ingredients in a formulation bind together and maintain its form, and prevent emulsions of water and oil from separating easily.[2] It is also used to form a thin film on the surface of the skin, hair, or nails after application and to control the viscosity and flow of formulations.[2]
