About Sodium Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-1

Sodium Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-1 is a composite crosspolymer obtained by dispersing in water containing sodium hydroxide a silicone copolymer produced by reacting a polydimethylsiloxane polymer containing silicon hydride groups and terminal methacrylate substitutions with PEG-18/PPG-17 allyl ether, followed by a final reaction with methacrylic acid and methacryloyl PPG-6 phosphate.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, form a thin film on the surface of the skin, hair, and nails after application, and leave the skin's surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
