About Sodium Olivate

Sodium Olivate is the sodium salt of fatty acids derived from olive oil.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly blended, and lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] It is also used to control the viscosity and flow of formulations.[2]
