About Sodium Oleoamphopropionate
Sodium Oleoamphopropionate is an amphoteric organic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, help sebum and impurities wash away with water, and increase the amount of foam and help prevent it from dissipating easily.[2] It is also used to form foam during use, reduce tangling and roughness in the hair for smoother grooming, and lower surface tension so that raw materials can become wetted, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
