About Sodium Oleate

Sodium Oleate is the sodium salt of oleic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly blended, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] It is also used to adjust a formula's viscosity and flow.[2]
