About Sodium Myristoyl Hydrolyzed Collagen
Sodium myristoyl hydrolyzed collagen is the sodium salt of the condensation product of myristic acid chloride and hydrolyzed collagen.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, help rinse sebum and impurities away with water, and reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother grooming.[2] It is also used to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
