About Sodium Myristoamphoacetate
Sodium Myristoamphoacetate is an amphoteric organic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling together, help sebum and dirt rinse away with water, and increase the amount and stability of foam.[2] It is also used to help form foam during use, reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother conditioning, and lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
