About Sodium Methylnaphthalenesulfonate
Sodium Methylnaphthalenesulfonate is a mixture of mono- and dimethyl-substituted naphthalenesulfonates.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to give liquid formulas a gel-like form and viscosity, help ingredients that do not dissolve well in water disperse more evenly in the aqueous phase, and reduce surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
