About Sodium Methyl Myristate Sulfonate
Sodium methyl myristate sulfonate is the sodium salt of the sulfonated methyl ester of myristic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help rinse sebum and impurities away with water, increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable, and lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
