Sodium Lauroyl Hydrolyzed Silk is the sodium salt of the condensation product of lauric acid chloride and hydrolyzed silk.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for smooth conditioning, and smooth and condition the skin surface.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
