Sodium Laureth-6 Carboxylate is the sodium salt of the carboxylic acid derived from Laureth-6.[1] The number 6 at the end of the name refers to the average number of added ethylene oxide units; it changes the balance between the water-loving and oil-loving portions, resulting in differences in cleansing and emulsifying power and sensory feel.
