About Sodium Hydroxypropylphosphate Laurylglucoside Crosspolymer
Sodium Hydroxypropylphosphate Laurylglucoside Crosspolymer is a crosslinked polymer formed by reacting 1,3-dichloro-2-propanol with lauryl glucoside, followed by reaction with bis(3-chloro-hydroxypropyl) phosphate.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and increase the amount of foam and help it last longer.[2] It also helps water-insoluble ingredients disperse more evenly in the water phase and lowers surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
