About Sodium Humate

Sodium Humate is the sodium salt of humic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to absorb liquids such as water or oil in formulations, inhibit microbial growth, and buffer the formulation so its acidity does not change rapidly.[2] It is also used to bind metal ions and reduce their effects on color, scent, and formulation stability.[2]
