About Sodium Heparosan
Sodium Heparosan is the sodium salt of a mucopolysaccharide composed of repeating units of β-D-glucuronic acid and N-acetyl-α-D-glucosamine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to attract moisture to the formula and skin surface to maintain hydration, help protect the skin from external factors, and adjust the viscosity and flow of the formula.[2]
