Sodium Deceth Sulfate is the sodium salt of sulfated and ethoxylated decyl alcohol, where n averages 1–4.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities be rinsed away with water, create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
