About Sodium Cyclodextrin Butylsulfonate
Sodium Cyclodextrin Butylsulfonate is a polysaccharide made up of linked sugar units.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to absorb liquids such as water or oil in a formulation, inhibit the growth of microorganisms in the product to slow deterioration during storage, and dissolve other raw materials to create a uniform formulation.[1] It is also used to lower surface tension so that ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[1]
