About Sodium Cocoyl/Olivoyl Hydrolyzed Oat/Wheat Protein

Sodium Cocoyl/Olivoyl Hydrolyzed Oat/Wheat Protein is the sodium salt of a complex mixture formed by reacting Hydrolyzed Oat Protein and Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein with Olivoyl Chloride and Cocoyl Chloride.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help reduce plaque buildup on tooth surfaces, help sebum and impurities wash away with water, and reduce friction on skin or hair while adding a smooth feel.[2] It is also used to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for smooth grooming, keep teeth and the mouth clean and comfortable, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
