About Sodium Cocoyl Lactylate

Sodium Cocoyl Lactylate is the sodium salt of the coconut acid ester of lactyl lactate.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
