About Sodium Chitosan Caprylamide Hydroxypropylsulfonate

Sodium Chitosan Caprylamide Hydroxypropylsulfonate is a raw material obtained by reacting chitosan with caprylic acid anhydride and sodium 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropanesulfonate.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair and add a smooth feel, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother conditioning.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
