About Sodium Caproamphopropionate

Sodium Caproamphopropionate is an amphoteric organic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, increase the amount of foam while helping it last longer, and form foam during use.[2] It is also used to reduce tangling and roughness in hair for a smoother finish and to reduce surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
