About Sodium Caproamphoacetate
Sodium Caproamphoacetate is an amphoteric organic compound.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, increase the amount of foam and help it last longer, and form foam during use.[2] It is also used to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair and leave it smooth and manageable, and to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
