About Sodium C9-15 Pareth-3 Sulfate
Sodium C9-15 Pareth-3 Sulfate is the sodium salt of the sulfated polyethylene glycol ether of a mixture of synthetic C9-15 fatty alcohols.[1] The number 3 at the end of the name refers to the average number of ethylene oxide units added; it changes the balance between water-loving and oil-loving portions, resulting in differences in cleansing power, emulsifying ability, and skin feel. In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water.[2]
