About Sodium C13-15 Pareth-8 Phosphate

Sodium C13-15 Pareth-8 Phosphate is the sodium salt of a mixture of esters of a mixture of C13-15 synthetic alcohols with an average ethoxylation value of 8 moles and phosphoric acid.[1] The number 8 at the end of the name refers to the average number of added ethylene oxide units; it changes the balance between water-loving and oil-loving portions, resulting in differences in cleansing power, emulsifying ability and skin feel. In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and dirt wash away with water, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix and spread evenly.[2]
