Sodium C12-15 Pareth-3 Sulfate is the sodium salt of the sulfated polyethylene glycol ether of a mixture of synthetic C12-15 alcohols.[1] The number 3 at the end of the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added; this changes the balance between water-loving and oil-loving parts, resulting in differences in cleansing power, emulsifying ability, and skin feel.
