About Sodium Bis-Hydroxyethylglycinate Coco-Glucosides Crosspolymer
Sodium Bis-Hydroxyethylglycinate Coco-Glucosides Crosspolymer is a crosslinked polymer produced by reacting coco-glucoside with 1,3-dichloro-2-propanol, followed by reaction with 1-(bis(2-hydroxyethyl)amino)-3-chloro-2-propanol and sodium monochloroacetate.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable, and reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for a smoother finish.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
