About Sodium Arachidate
Sodium Arachidate is the sodium salt of arachidic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to buffer the formula so its acidity does not change abruptly, to form emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to help prevent separation of the emulsion.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to adjust the formula’s viscosity and flow.[2]
