About Silica Dimethyl Silylate

Silica Dimethyl Silylate is a silica derivative whose fumed silica surface has been modified by adding dimethylsilyl groups.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help powder ingredients flow evenly without forming lumps, suppress unwanted foam during manufacturing or use, and reduce friction on the skin or hair while adding a smooth feel. It is also used to help keep water-and-oil emulsions from separating easily and to control a formulation's viscosity and flow.[2] [2]
