About Shinorine

Shinorine is an amino acid or derivative containing both an amino group and an acidic group.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms, slow the oxidation of formulation ingredients caused by reactions with oxygen, and smooth the hair by reducing tangling and a rough feel.[2] It is also used to help protect the skin from external factors and to help prevent the formulation's condition and properties from changing easily during storage.[2]
