About Sd Alcohol 38-F
SD Alcohol 38-F is ethyl alcohol denatured in accordance with 27CFR21 with: 1) thymol, chlorothymol, menthol, and boric acid or polysorbate-80; 2) two or more denaturants used for 38-B, together with boric acid or polysorbate-80; or 3) two or more denaturants used for 38-B, together with zinc chloride and hydrochloric acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to provide a temporary tightening, astringent feel on the skin or scalp, dissolve other raw materials to create a uniform formulation, and adjust the formulation’s viscosity and flow.[2]
