About Salicylyl Beeswax
Salicylyl Beeswax is an ester of salicylic acid and beeswax.[1] Because its primary components are fatty substances derived from the seeds, it mixes more readily with oil than water and is suitable for adding slip and a flexible feel to skin or hair while reducing the feeling of moisture evaporating quickly. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction on the skin or hair, add a smooth feel, and attract moisture to the formulation and skin surface to help maintain moisturization.[2]
